Several incidents of car battery theft have been reported from the different parts of the city. In a recent incident, complainant Anil Kumar Kapoor told the police that he had parked his car at a paid parking lot in Sector 35 on February 18. Within two hours the battery was stolen from the car. The matter has been reported at the Sector 36 police station. Kapoor claimed that around seven months ago as well someone had stolen battery from his car.

Another battery theft was reported by Paramdeep Saklania, a native of Mandi, Himachal, who reported that battery from his car was stolen while it was parked at the PGI parking on February 19. The police have registered a case at the Sector 11 police station.

Earlier this month, a battery was stolen from a car parked at the MC paid parking outside Elante Mall in daylight. The matter was reported to the police.
