Thieves decamped with a bag containing Rs 10,000 and other valuables after breaking a glass window of a car parked outside a showroom in Sector 8 here this evening.

Kulwant Singh, a resident of Zirakpur, said he had gone to a gym in Sector 8 at 6 pm and when he returned two hours later, he found the rear glass of his car broken. The miscreant had made off with a bag containing documents, two mobile phones and about Rs 10,000 from the car.

An employee of the parking contractor was issuing slips a few yards from the parked car.

The police reached the spot on receiving information and started an investigation.
