The initiative is part of the MC’s broader mission to promote proper waste management and ensure adherence to the Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Rules. Citizens are reminded that waste segregation at the source is mandatory. Segregated waste must be handed over to MC’s designated waste collectors only.

MC Commissioner Amit Kumar said, “No one will be spared if found throwing garbage in public spaces. With the help of CCTV surveillance, we will issue challans to the violators and follow it up with strict legal action for repeated offences.” He urged residents to contribute towards maintaining the cleanliness in the city. The action serves as a warning to habitual offenders and a reminder to all citizens of their civic duties.
