CBSE Class X results: Bhavan’s fantastic 5 corner glory with 99%

Panchkula, July 15

Five students of Bhavan Vidyalaya in Sector 15 here topped the CBSE Class X exams in the tricity by scoring 99 per cent marks. The board announced the results today.

Four of the toppers are girls. They are Ashmita Sengupta, Bhuvi Kansal, Rasleen Kaur Dua and Garima. Parv Aggarwal is the other tricity topper.

“I still cannot believe that I have topped the exam. I had studied regularly throughout the session. Discipline, consistency and guidance of the teachers saw me succeed. My mother always inspired me,” said Ashmita, who aims to become an IAS officer. Her father Anindya Sengupta is a manager in a private company and mother Milly Sengupta is a teacher.

Bhuvi credited her parents and the school for her success. “I was regular with my studies. I want to join the Army,” said Bhuvi. Her father Anil Kansal is an engineer and works in a private company. Her mother Sanju Kansal is a government employee.

Rasleen, who also wants to join the Civil Services, said, “Consistency plays a key role in a person’s success. Students should take a regular break during their revision hours. It has worked for me.”

Garima, who aims to become a computer engineer, said it was the first step towards achieving her dream. “There is no secret formula for my success. It is only hard work and consistency that have paid,” she said.

Parv too wants to become a computer engineer. “I had set targets for each day, which acted as incentives for me. I worked hard and succeeded in achieving them,” he said.

Vrinda overall second

Vrinda Gupta of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, Chandigarh, scored 98.8 per cent marks to grab the second spot. She credited her school and parents for her success. “I am very clear about my aim of becoming a chartered accountant. A good result was important for me to pursue a career in commerce,” said Vrinda.

Four share third spot

Four students scored 98.6 per cent marks to share the overall third position in the tricity. Gurjot Singh of KB DAV School, Sector 7, Chandigarh, Ashima Garg of Vivek High School, Sector 38, Chandigarh, and Animesh Madan and Mansi of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula.
