The ruling BJP at the Centre is discriminating against Punjab and is creating barriers in the procurement of paddy to disturb the peace and order of the farmers of the state. Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said this while talking to the media after a function at Dera Bassi today.

Mundian said the Centre, which claimed to have guaranteed the Minimum Support Price to the farmers, was now deliberately not lifting the paddy stock on time due to which the farmers were suffering. The minister alleged the Prime Minister was silent on the issue.
