The Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA) has come forward to help their registered caddies to sail through the pandemic.
Recognising the need for supporting caddies during the lockdown, members of the club have decided to provide caddies with packed lunches boxes and monetary help. The club has started transferring money directly into their bank accounts. “This is being done to ensure that the caddies receive money directly,” said Ravibir Singh, president, Chandigarh Golf Club.
“Caddies are an integral part of any Golf Club. However, they are the worst affected at the moment. They have been asked to stay at home and get themselves registered for vaccination at the earliest,” added Ravibir.
