Chandigarh Administration starts oxygen concentrator bank for Covid patients in home isolation

The Chandigarh Administration in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, UT Branch, has started oxygen concentrator bank for Covid patients who need oxygen when in home isolation or after discharge from hospital.

The patients requiring concentrator may contact at the following helpline number: +91-6280726662.

The timings for the bank are 9 am to 5 pm.

The applicant is required to submit following documents:

*Covid positive report of patient.

*Doctor’s prescription for oxygen requirement.

*Any residential proof of UT Chandigarh.

After confirming the eligibility, the applicant will be informed telephonically regarding availability of oxygen concentrator.

The security amount of Rs 5,000 will be required to be remitted in favour of Indian Red Cross Society, UT Branch, Chandigarh.

This will be refunded on the return of equipment. Oxygen concentrator will be delivered by the team of Red Cross at patient’s home.

This service is free of cost, but the user will have to bear the repair cost in case of any breakage/damage to the equipment.
