Chandigarh Administration to plant 1.5 lakh saplings

Chandigarh, July 25

VP Singh Badnore, UT Administrator, recently released ‘Greening Chandigarh Action Plan 2020-21’.

It involves plantation targets for various departments/ agencies. During this year, 1,50,000 saplings will be planted in a phased manner on government and available private land and 70,000 saplings are being distributed by Forest Department among residents. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
