In view of the ongoing monsoon season, the UT Administration has made various arrangements, including pitching a waterproof tent at the venue to protect the dignitaries from rain. The Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy sky with thunderstorm and rain on Friday.

The celebrations will begin with the unfurling of the Tricolour followed by various other programmes, including a parade by contingents of the police, armed forces, police band and NSS students. Civil Defence volunteers, who were enrolled in Chandigarh after the Operation Sindoor, will also be part of the parade.
