Pacer Aayan Akram claimed a stunning five-wicket haul to pack the local batters for 64. In reply, the Uttar Pradesh batters posted 257/3 at the draw of stumps to record a 193-run lead.
Chandigarh skipper, Ehit Salaria won the toss and opted to bat. Sarthak Kamal (26) and Rupesh Yadav (11) were the only two to make a double-figure contribution.
For UP, the opening pair of Shanthanu Singh and Anmol Noushran started off well with a 67-run stand. However, Bhavi Sharma went on a rampage and scored 108.

He posted unbeaten 110, while Shreyas Gopal (38) remained not out.
