Skipper Manan Vohra’s 74-run contribution against Uttarakhand helped the city lads to register a six-wicket win in the last match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Tournament at Gurugram.

Vohra won the toss and put Uttarakhand to bat. Jagjit Singh Sandhu managed the first success by dismissing Tanush Gusai (7) in the 4th over. Thereafter, S Arora and captain Kunal Chandela raised a 78-run partnership. S Arora (68) and Saurabh Rawat (14), meanwhile, remained unbeaten and helped the side to achieve 161/5 in 20 overs.

Chandigarh got off to a brisk start with their openers Vohra and Sarul Kanwar raising a 67-run partnership. Vohra (74) with Ankit Kaushik (20) helped the side to achieve the win. TNS
