Chandigarh breaches 11,000 mark

Sees 244 fresh cases, 1 death

Chandigarh, September 25

The city crossed the 11,000 mark with 244 fresh Covid cases today. The case tally now stands at 11,212.

The city also reported one death today. A 55-year-old woman from Sector 56, who was suffering from diabetes and hypertension, succumbed to the disease.

For the third day in a row, Chandigarh saw more recoveries than cases as 335 persons were cured. Mani Majra continues to remain a hotspot as 24 cases were reported from there. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
