UT police Inspector Baldev Kumar won a gold medal in the 54th Asian Bodybuilding Championship in the masters’ group at Maldives.

Kumar, who is posted in the Traffic Wing of the Chandigarh Police, won the men’s above 80-kg weight category in the 50 to 60 years age group.

The Indian contingent won 11 medals – two gold, six silver and three bronze. Kumar, who had won numerous bodybuilding championships, was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 51,000 for winning bronze medal in the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship last year in Tashkent.
