Gabi said residents of certain areas in his ward had been facing problems for a long time due to blocked sewers. On inspection, it was found that sewer pipes near the gurdwara in Sector 46-D and Sectors 45-A and 45-D were either damaged or compressed, leading to frequent blockages and inconvenience for the area residents.

The councillor took up the matter with MC officials and drafted a special agenda to get the project approved. He informed that the severely damaged sewer lines in Sectors 45-A and 45-D were being replaced. In Sector 45-D, the sewer line running through the rehri market is being redirected and cut from the residential area and connected to the main line, which would help eliminate future blockages.

Additionally, grease chambers were being constructed near the Sector 46 gurdwara, which would prevent sewer blockages in the future.
