Opener Monika Pandey scored a timely half-century to help Chandigarh secure a 12-run win over Odisha during the Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy. Batting first, the local eves posted 108 runs before getting all out in 33.5 overs. Priyanka Priyadarshini claimed four wickets. In reply, Odisha batters bundled out at 96. Rajni Devi (3/19) and Nandani Sharma (3/27) shared majority of the wickets.
Bad weather hits match
Bad weather at Guwahati troubled Chandigarh vs Assam match at the Col CK Nayudu Trophy. On the third day, only 26 overs were bowled as the match was disrupted by rain – a loss to Chandigarh lads who were looking for an outright win.
Pukhraj to Punjab’s rescue
Pukhraj Mann came up with a brilliant 185-run innings to help Punjab gain a respectable position against Tripura during a Col CK Nayudu Trophy match at IS Bindra PC Stadium. In the second innings, Tripura was struggling at 126/7 to trail by 59 runs at the drawn of the stumps.
