Chandigarh Shuttlers Badminton Club (formed by sports enthusiasts and international badminton players of the city) under the aegis of Chandigarh Badminton Association will host a four-day Masters All India Badminton Tournament from April 14 to 17 at the Sector 38 Sports Complex.

The championship will be conducted in age groups 35 years, 40 years, 45 years , 50 years , 55 years, 60 years, 65 years and 70 years. Players from all over India will participate in the tournament. “The response in this tournaments is overwhelming and we have received more than 1,000 entries, including from former Olympians and international badminton players, who had brought laurels to India,” said Surinder Mahajan, Secretary, Chandigarh Badminton Association. It will be once-in-a-lifetime experience for young players to watch these international achievers playing here, he said.

The tournament will carry a cash prizes of Rs 8 lakh along with trophies and gifts for all participants.
