Chandigarh lads amassed 528/9 to gain a 433-run lead against host Uttarakhand during the second day’s play of the COl CK Nayudu Trophy match at Kaushki Ground. Skipper Akshit Rana and Dipender Kush came up with brilliant tons to help Chandigarh get into commanding position.

Resuming from overnight score of 298/5, the local duo was on fire. They raised a 225-run stand for the sixth wicket as the host bowlers struggled hard to find a breakthrough. The duo pushed the total to 402 before Rana was caught by Shubham off Gurman Dhillon at 182 off 200 balls. Thereafter, Kush completed 131 off 252 balls before getting caught by Shubham off Shashwat Dangwal. Neel contributed 41 of 75 balls as Rana declared the innings at 528/9.

Dangwal, Satyam Baaliyan and Harsh Rana picked two wickets each for the bowling side, while Rohi and Dhillon bagged one each.

In reply, Uttarakhand batters struggled against Chandigarh bowlers as they were restricted to 95/4 at the draw of stumps. Aanjaneya Suryavanshi (39) was the sole notable scorer for the side. Divij Digari also contributed 21. Neel, Anmol Sharma and Harshit claimed one wicket each for the bowling side.

Earlier, in their first innings, Chandigarh posted 298/5. Chandigarh skipper Rana had won the toss and opted to bat. Chandigarh openers Devang Kaushik and Dushyant started the day for the city. The duo raised 85 runs for the opening wicket. Chandigarh lads were reduced to 155/4. Thereafter, Dushyant (93) helped the side rebuild the innings.
