Chandigarh gets 220 bids for 96 liquor vends
The Excise and Taxation Department has received 220 bids for allotment of 96 liquor vends in the city, which will held tomorrow.
Last year, the Excise and Taxation Department was unable to allot 12 vends, resulting in financial losses for the administration. However, this time, the department was confident that all vends will be auctioned.
The Administration has set allot 97 liquor vends and fixed the reserve prices. The liquor vends in Palsora and Dhanas are expected to fetch the highest prices, as they are located near the Mohali border. The administration has set a revenue collection target of Rs 800 crore for this year. The highest reserve price is for the Palsora liquor vend, set at Rs 10.22 crore.
