Chandigarh issues advisory, says follow Covid-appropriate behaviour

Chandigarh: The city witnessed 25 fresh Covid cases on Monday, taking the active caseload to 209. While there was no fresh fatality, 12 patients recovered from the disease. The virus has claimed 1,165 lives in the city so far. — TNS

18 days on, another death in Mohali

Mohali: After 18 days, one more death due to Covid occurred in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 1,150. The deceased was a 74-year-old man from Dashmesh Nagar, Mohali, who died at the PGI. He was not vaccinated. The last death in the district was reported on May 26. Meanwhile, 14 fresh cases surfaced in the district, taking the total number of positive cases to 96,177, while eight patients recovered from the disease. Of the 96,177 cases reported so far, 94,924 patients have been cured. There are now 103 active cases with 1,150 deaths. — TNS

12 catch virus in Panchkula

Panchkula: Twelve new Covid cases surfaced in the district in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 44,485. No new death due to the virus was reported during this period. There are now 83 active cases.— TNS
