Chandigarh mayor calls special meeting of House

Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla has called a special meeting of the House on the Manimajra housing project on December 12, where a detailed report regarding the project will be placed for taking a decision.

Recently, a special committee formed to review the project land at Pocket No 6, Manimajra, has sent a new proposal for approval to the Chief Architect of the UT Administration.

Mayor Babla had formed the committee to thoroughly review the matter and provide recommendations following the decision taken in 353rd meeting of the General House on September 30.

Around 16 acres have been identified in Manimajra for the auction of the land after verification.

Earlier, the General House of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has approved terms and conditions for the auction of over 7.5 acres for the housing project.
