Chandigarh Mayor inspects Sector 32 fire station

Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla, accompanied by Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty, Deputy Mayor Taruna Mehta, Mahesh Inder Singh Sidhu, chairman of MC Fire Committee, and councillor Saurabh Joshi, visited the Fire Station in Sector 32 today to conduct a thorough inspection of safety equipment and emergency preparedness protocols.

The delegation reviewed the functionality and availability of essential fire safety tools, rescue equipment, and emergency response vehicles.

The visit was part of an ongoing initiative to ensure that the Fire Department remains fully equipped and ready to efficiently handle any emergency situation.

Mayor Babla emphasised the significance of timely inspections and highlighted the city’s commitment to the safety and well-being of its residents. “Our fire services are frontline defence in the times of crisis. Ensuring their readiness is a responsibility we take very seriously,” she said.
