In view of the rising monkey menace, the MC has proposed to engage four additional monkey deterrent personnel. Since monkeys have been excluded from the purview of the Wildlife Protection Amendment Act, 2023, effective from December 19, 2022, the MC is trying to take steps, which can help curb the menace.
