Chandigarh: The MC is again deliberating to give licence fee exemption to the parking lot companies due to Covid. It will be decided during the MC House meeting on Friday. The MC had earlier also given exemption to the firms even as smart features had not been implemented and annual rates were increased. The MC House will also take a call on enhancing parks’ maintenance charges given to the RWAs and extending the contract of mechanised road cleaning in the southern sectors. TNS

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Amateur Cycling Association will organise the State Road Cycling Championships 2021 from November 6-7. Based on the results, cyclists will be shortlisted for the 26th Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior National Road Cycling Championship, which is scheduled to be held in Kurukshetra from November 25-28. — TNS
