Chandigarh, June 23

The UT Education Department today held a meeting with cluster heads to discuss the future course of action in government schools.

According to sources, the department may call 50 per cent staff to schools from June 29 onwards.

The department is also mulling to conduct online admission of Classes pre-Nursery to IX.

Teachers have been told to maintain online teaching record, make weekly online videos and assignment related to their class and subject.

As per the discussions, the cluster head can anytime ask teachers to submit online teaching material.

The planning of tests for Classes VII to X that will be held tentatively on July 5 was also deliberated. All students taking the test will be marked present.

Teachers have also been asked to prepare online material for Classes VI to VIII.

As per the discussions, their tests could be also be taken.
