Chandigarh recorded 108 new Covid cases on Tuesday, while five people succumbed to the infection.

The total number of active cases in the UT stands at 1,481, while 57,915 Covid-19 patients have been cured till date.

The death toll stands at 758.

A total of 389 patients have been discharged, including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
