Chandigarh records 5 new Covid-19 cases

Chandigarh, December 22

Chandigarh reported five new Covid-19 cases over the last 24 hours on Wednesday, a health bulletin said on Wednesday.

The UT now has 99 active cases with a positivity rate of 0.82 per cent.

Chandigarh fatality count since the cases were first reported in the UT in March 2020 is 1078.

The bulletin said 1,413 samples were tested over the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the UTs reported 10 new recoveries on Wednesday.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
