Chandigarh records 70 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths

Chandigarh on Friday recorded 70 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths due to the virus.

The active case load in the city has come down to 564 as a total of 84 patients has been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per Health Ministry guidelines.

The total number of cases in Chandigarh has reached 60,998 while the death toll in the city is 786.

The three deaths reported in the city were of patients suffering from co-morbidities.

The total number of cured persons till date in the city is 59,648.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
