Chandigarh, March 30
The city today witnessed the hottest day of March in four years.
The maximum temperature today rose to 36.5°C, which is five degrees above normal. Last year, the highest temperature was 29.4°C on March 24. While in 2019, it was 34°C on March 31. In 2018, it was 34.5°C on March 29.
However, 2017 had witnessed a higher temperature of 37°C on March 30.
Meanwhile, the minimum temperature was 19.2°C, which is four degrees above normal.
In the coming days, the weather is expected to be clear. The maximum and minimum temperature is likely to come down by a small margin, as per the Meteorological Department.
