Chandigarh on Sunday recorded 93 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the total tally in the Union Territory to 2,102.

The total number of active cases stands at 934 as 1,137 patients have been cured till date while 29 have succumbed to the virus.

As per the health officials, the new cases have been reported from Sector 49, 45, 21, 7, 22, 18, 42, 32, 8, 40, 4, 47, 34, 38 West, 20, 24, 15, 48, 37, 63, 26, 23, 39, 29 33, 56, 38, 41, Khuda Lahora, Dhanas, Mani Majra, Ram Darbar, Maloya, Hallo Majra, Palsora, Faidan, Daria, Mauli Jagran, Dadumajra, Mani Jagran and Industrial Area Phase 1.

Meanwhile, 19 patients were discharged on Sunday after they recovered from the infection.

A total of 21,060 people has been tested for novel coronavirus in the city so far.
