Chandigarh reported one death and 35 new coronavirus cases on Friday, officials said—developments that take the union territory’s infection tally to 1,051 with 15 deaths.

A 46-year-old woman from Kajheri tested positive two days after she was brought dead to the Government Multi-Speciality Hospital in Sector 16. She had no pre-existing health conditions, and was asymptomatic when she died, the UT’s medical bulletins said. She however did complain of severe and radiating abdominal pain, the bulletin said.
