Chandigarh reports one death and 31 fresh COVID-19 cases on Saturday, taking the city’s death toll to 12.

A 55-year-old woman from Ram Darbar succumbed to the deadly virus. After complaining of severe abdominal pain, she was moved to Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, Sector 32 on Friday—where it was declared she was brought dead.

She tested COVID-19 positive on Saturday.

With 31 infections, the union territory’s tally stands at 691.

At present, Chandigarh has 194 active cases.
