Chandigarh reports one death and 58 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, taking the Union Territory's death toll to 24. 

The city's coronavirus tally stands at 1,426. 

The COVID-19 death was a resident of Sector 45. The 60-year-old woman died at GMCH-32 on Friday. She was a diabetic patient and was admitted on July 5 with high-levels of blood sugar.  

Now, the city has 529 active cases. 

So far, 872 patients have recovered from the deadly disease and discharged from the hospital in the city.
