The city logged 1,294 fresh Covid cases on Thursday and two deaths. The positivity rate stood at 19.30 per cent. A 67-year-old woman from Sector 30, a case of heart and kidney disease, died at the PGI. A 21-year-old woman from Sector 20, a case of acute leukaemia and metabolic acidosis, died at the GMSH-16. Both deceased were unvaccinated. While the tally has reached 82,563, the toll has gone up to 1,095. As many as 1,336 people were cured of the disease. The active caseload now stands at 9,922. — TNS
