Chandigarh: The city reported 31 fresh Covid cases on Friday. The overall count reached 91,520. The city also saw two deaths. A 73-year-old man from Mani Majra, a case of type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease, died at Ojas Hospital, Panchkula. He was fully vaccinated. Another 71-year-old man from Mani Majra, a case of stroke and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, died at the PGI. He had only got the first dose of the Covid vaccine. — TNS
36 cases surface in Mohali, no death
Mohali: The district saw 36 fresh Covid cases in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 95,365, whereas 81 patients were cured of the disease. No new death due to the virus was reported from any part of the district. There are now 340 active cases. The death toll stands at 1,144. — TNS
13 cases in Panchkula, active caseload 80
Panchkula: The district reported 13 fresh Covid cases on Friday, taking the overall tally to 43,946. The active caseload came down to 80. The death toll remained unchanged at 412. Meanwhile, the number of people who have recovered from the disease rose to 43,454. —
