Chandigarh: The city on Thursday reported 80 new cases of Covid, taking the UT tally to 14,292. The city also witnessed one death. A 21-year-old woman from Sector 25, who was suffering from a chronic kidney disease, died at the PGI. The Covid toll stands at 225. The number of recoveries rose to 13,402 with 43 more patients defeating the virus. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
