Tribune Model School celebrated Baisakhi today. Caroline Rowett, UK’s Deputy High Commissioner to India, was the chief guest for the event. Chairperson Chand Nehru and Principal Vandana Saxena also attended the event. Few outstanding students were awarded a scholarship of Rs 10,000 each with a trophy. An interactive session was held where Rowett posed some insightful questions to students. A friendly football match was also organised.

Alumni visit Shishu Niketan

Alumni of Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22(D), reached at the school campus to celebrate the 70th founders day of the school and the festival of Baisakhi. The alumni, who are now excelling in different fields, reached here and surprised the school staff and principal. Principal Amita Khorana congratulated the students and alumni. Suresh Kataria, Parampreet Kaur, Pooja Sharma, Rupesh Khosla, Neeru Agnihotri, Deepak Chamoli, Sachin Sharma, Deepti Malik and Sukhwinder, all alumni of the school, honoured the principal.

KB DAV-7 holds special meet

On the occasion of Baisakhi, young learners of KB DAV School, Sector 7, conducted a Special morning assembly. The young students came dressed in traditional Punjabi colorful outfits. The purpose was to make the students aware about the significance of the festival.

AKSIPS decorates school with farmers cutouts AKSIPS, Sector 125, smart school celebrated Baisakhi today. The school was decorated with cut-outs of farmers, fulkaris and balloons. Children explained about the importance of the festival by showcasing the Punjabi culture.

Special students ring in a happy Baisakhi at BVC

Students and teachers of the special cell of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, celebrated Baisakhi with cheer today. Educators of the special cell organised a feast for specially-abled students with the help of a team of volunteers. The event witnessed teachers informing children about the significance of the festival. The joy of these students, who have returned to offline classrooms after a gap of close to two years owing to the pandemic, brought alive the true spirit of Baisakhi for the people of Bhavan Vidyalaya, said senior principal Vineeta Arora.

PML SD Public School

PML SD Public School, Sector 32, celebrated Baisakhi in the primary wing ‘Petals’. Children were attired in Punjabi costumes and told about the culture and folklore associated with Baisakhi.
