Chandigarh vs Pondicherry: No play on Day 3

After the second day of the Ranji Trophy Plate Group match between hosts Chandigarh and Pondicherry at the Sector 16 stadium was washed out by rain, play could not resume on the third today due to wet outfield.
Pondicherry, in reply to Chandigarh’s first innings total of 134, were struggling at 37/4 at the close of opening day’s play on Monday and with just a day’s play left, the match in all probability is heading for a draw.
Chandigarh with 26 points from six matches are currently placed third in the Plate Group, while Pondicherry are seven points ahead in second place. Goa lead the table with 37 points from seven matches.
The opening day’s play in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy Plate Group match between Chandigarh U-19 and Odisha U-19 at the Government Model Senior Secondary School grounds in Sector 26 was also called off because wet outfield.
