Chandigarh's 3-day ‘zero budget’ Rose Fest to begin on February 21

The three-day Rose Festival will begin on February 21 at the namesake Rose Garden, Sector 16. For the 53rd edition of the mega event, the Municipal Corporation (MC) has planned a “zero budget” festival, relying on sponsors for the first time.

While sharing the details of the festival, MC Commissioner Amit Kumar said UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria will inaugurate the festival at the Zakir Rose Garden. The ceremony will feature bands, folk dance performances and flower arrangements.

On Day 1, Punjabi folk singer Sukhi Brar and Group will perform at 5 pm. The following day, Sufiana Gayan by Balbir and Group will be staged at 4.30 pm, followed by artist group Lopoke Brothers at 6.30 pm. On the final day, Atul Dubey and Group will perform geet and ghazal at 5 pm and Kavi Samellan by Naveen Neer and Group at 6.30 pm.
