Chandigarh's  Chander Mukhi Sharma has been nominated for membership on the FIBA (International Basketball Federation) Asia Appeal Committee. The decision was made during the FIBA Asia Board’s 3rd meeting, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Sharma will be a part of the committee which plays a crucial role in ensuring all disciplinary issues, disputes and appeals related to FIBA Asia competitions and regulations.

Sharma, former secretary general of Basketball Federation of India, was earlier re-nominated to the elite FIBA Appeals Commission, a high-power legal body that sits in judgment of all legal matters concerning the governance of the sport of basketball in the world. —TNS
