Manchanda was nabbed by the UT Vigilance Department while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a resident of EWS flats, Dhanas, in March 2020. The complainant told the officials that he had lost the documents pertaining to the flat ownership.

He alleged that Manchanda assured him that he would provide duplicate documents, but sought Rs 50,000 as bribe.
