Chandigarh MC revises enforcement staff duty hours
In a bid to enhance enforcement vigil and maintain city’s cleanliness and order, the municipal corporation has rescheduled the duty hours of its enforcement team.
As per the directions of Amit Kumar, Commissioner, MC, two sub-inspectors (enforcement) will now be on duty during late evening hours, from 8 pm to 10 pm daily, in addition to their regular responsibilities. This step has been taken to ensure effective removal of encroachments across the city. A duty roster for this new schedule was issued on March 15.
Additionally, enforcement vigil in Sector 17, a key commercial hub, has been intensified. The duty hours in this area have been revised and fixed from 2 pm to 10 pm to curb unauthorised encroachments and maintain public spaces properly.
