A fine century by Chirag Dhindsa helped Chandigarh to claim a 315-run lead over mighty Assam during the second day play of the Col CK Nayudu Trophy at Amingaon Cricket Ground, Guwahati. Chandigarh lads posted 458 runs in the first innings, and Assam logged 143/4, at the drawn of the stumps. Initially, Chandigarh lost quick wickets. Dhindsa with Amit Shukla then played a perfect innings. The duo raised a 105-run partnership for the 9th wicket to help Chandigarh cross the 400-mark.

Punjab lead at Mohali

At IS Bindra PCA Stadium, Punjab led by 96 runs against Tripura. In reply to Tripura’s 126, Punjab lads ended the second day at 222/6. Pukhraj Mann scored a timely unbeaten 116 off 148 balls while Krish Bhagat posted 52 off 123 balls.
