Chandigarh’s Aman (67 kg) and Sachin (71kg) impressed with their attacking game as duo humbled their respective opponents with consummate ease to move into the quarterfinals of the 5th National Boxing Championship at the Inspire Institute of Sports in Bellary, Karnataka, today.

In both the bouts referee stopped the contest.

Aman thrashed Odisha’s SR Sahoo, while Sachin showed the door to Uttarakhand’s Devender Singh.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
