Party leaders, workers, and supporters assembled at Rajiv Gandhi Congress Bhawan, Sector 35, where Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee president HS Lucky dispatched the signed petitions.

Speaking on the occasion, Lucky said that the BJP and the Modi government misused constitutional bodies, particularly the Election Commission (EC), for political gain. He said, “The neutrality and credibility of the Election Commission are under serious question after the recent exposé by Rahul Gandhi. The EC, which should be the guardian of free and fair elections, has unfortunately allowed itself to be used as a political tool by the ruling BJP.”

Lucky said that the collected signatures from Chandigarh would be sent to the All India Congress Committee (AICC), which will compile the nationwide signatures and submit them to the President of India in the coming weeks.
