Aman’s colleague said he had severe back pain, following which he had been undergoing treatment at the PGI. His family had now decided to consult doctors in Delhi.

Aman, along with his family, had gone for a check-up yesterday at Apollo in Delhi. He left the hospital last evening without informing anyone and switched off his mobile phone.

Sources said Aman jumped before a train at the Sarai Rohilla railway station around 3 am this morning. His family got information about the tragic incident around 4.30 am.

The sources said Aman was disturbed due to his illness, which must have provoked him to take the extreme step. “He was on leave from office till February 22,” the sources added.

A native of Husnar village in Gidderbaha, Punjab, Aman had studied journalism at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.
