Local golfer Karandeep Kochhar has won the Egypt Golf Series for Red Sea Open title. Kochhar bagged the $21,875 prize money at the Asian Tour event with a score of 19 under par, securing a 3-troke lead.
The city golfer shot a hole-in-one in Round 1, followed by three bogeys, and after a bogey, carded a 4-under 68. He was in joint-3rd place. In Round 6, Kochhar carded a 66, moving to joint-2nd place with 6 under par. He faced 7 birdies and 1 bogey.
In the third round, he carded a 7-under 65, taking him to the top spot. This was his best round. He carded a 2-under 70 in the final round and managed to win based on a big lead. Kochhar’s total score was 19-under and he made 5 birdies and 3 bogeys in the last round.
English golfer three strokes behind
England’s Matt Killen finished the game with 16-under par and finished second after trailing by 3 strokes. Indonesia’s Wiravish finished third after 15-under. Scotland’s Eric McIntosh finished fourth with a score of 14-under. Darcy Bernatone, Carl Jano, Andrea Saracino and Calle Strandberg secured the 5th spot. Yang and Boholm finished 9th.
