City’s Saiyam Choudhary, a class 12 student of Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22, will represent the country in the Asian Judo Championship 2025-26 and the World Cadet Judo Championship 2025.

The Asian Judo Championship is scheduled to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from September 11 to 12, while the World Championship will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, from August 27 to 30.

During the trials, Saiyam won all his bouts. He has been trained under Vivek Thakur at the Sector 34 Sports Complex. He earlier participated in the 2024 World Judo Championship, and won a bronze medal in the Asian Judo Open 2025, Taipei.
