CL Aggarwal, DAV Model School, Chandigarh

As part of the Van Mahotsav celebration, the school organised various competitions. Students in classes 1–5 showcased their skills by creating innovative objects from waste. Students of classes 6 to 8 brought their thoughts and emotions to life through their essays and poems on ‘Making a Green World: One Tree at a Time’. Students in classes 9 and 10 spread awareness about the importance of trees through posters. The celebrations ended with a display of a variety of mangos called the ‘Mango Mela’. Secretary, Chandigarh Environment Society, NK Jhingan, was the chief guest.

Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh

With the aim of nurturing children’s creativity, a fancy dress competition was organised at the school. Students came dressed in various attires and enthralled the audience.

The school organised a debate competition for students in classes 11 and 12. The students participated in a dynamic and insightful debate on the topic ‘Prenatal Sex Determination and Female Foeticide’.

Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur

The school organised a blood donation camp. Parents, teachers, and local residents participated in the event. The chief guest for the event was Additional Director General of Police Ajay Kumar Pandey. The event was organised in collaboration with the Shivanand Choubey Memorial Charitable Trust.
