The Triveni Sangeet Sabha organised a classical vocal recital programme by Kasur Patiala Gharana maestro Ustad Raza Ali Khan at their Shringaar Hall here today.
Kolkata-based Ustad Raza Ali Khan presented a crisp ‘taranna’ and two compositions in ‘ragaBhim Plasi’ and a ‘dadra’ ‘Bin dekhe balam’.
The programme attained climax as Raza Ali Khan enraptured audience with the classic ‘thumri’ ‘Yaad piya ki aye’ and ‘Baju band khul khul jaye’immortalised by his mentor Ustaad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
Triveni sangeet sabha president and classical vocalist Primila Puri honoured the Ustad and other artistes.
