Cleanliness drive marks ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ at PGIMER
Event saw active participation from faculty, staff and students
A special cleanliness drive under the theme “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath Shramdaan”, was organised at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) here today to mark the nationwide ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Department of Hospital Administration and witnessed active participation from faculty, staff and students. The programme was attended by senior dignitaries, including PGIMER Director Prof Vivek Lal, Dean (Academics) Prof RK Ratho, Dean (Research) Prof Sanjay Jain, Medical Superintendent and Head of Hospital Administration Prof Vipin Koushal and Additional MS Prof Ashok Kumar.
In his address, Prof Lal called sanitation workers, security staff and frontline employees “true karmayogis of PGI”. He stressed that maintaining cleanliness, particularly in a hospital setting, was vital for health and safety, and urged the community to view it as a collective responsibility.
